If it makes you feel any better, a couple years ago my Duramax and my wife's Denali were both sitting out front of the house when this freak early morning hail came through. Total on both vehicles was nearly $10,000. Makes you feel a little sick. After that I went the cheap route and bought one of these $700 car ports to park under. That's cheaper than the deductibles. Only one problem. Now I had to order another carport for the Mustang.

I like your attitude! The shaker is on my list, maybe next year, unless we get a hail storm!

Last year same thing happened to mine. The paintless did not work and ended up having the entire left side repainted along with a new hood. Search around for body shops and find one that will work to get you a hood you want. ended up a total of around 8,000 in repairs on mine.

Unsuspecting hood...

Measure 40 times. Cut once...

Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. really took my time.. If you check the time stamp, I took a full hour to cut it... Only cried three or four times...

This thing is a beoich to get bolted down. Will really suck to do any engine maintenance and have to remove this dang thing... (yes, I know the air intake hose isn't bolted yet)...

Looks factory from the underside..

Shake it time!

Nice job on the cutout. Sorry about all the hail.

Since I don't have a garage I've made a set of webbed carpet tiles I can lay over my car cover in the event of hail. I've not been able to test it yet thankfully, but I hope it works.

I would have bet $100 that I could find dents from the PDR.... I would have LOST!!!! Terry's Auto Body in O'Fallon IL treated me right.. He's a car guy.. They even fixed a door ding in my passenger door that was there when I bought the Stang and wasn't part of the repair costs.... Wow!!

This.. turned into this!!

Someone on the forums had small hail damage that made it look like it was peppered with a BB gun. I think the roof damage is the worse as they had to remove the roof and replace it with a new skin.
