PSI isnt something you have to watch out for as much as rwhp. In a general sense each PSI is about 10-15 hp. Either way most people say if you really "drive" your car and not like a grandma :P then stay at around 450 rwhp with a stock block. I have about 420 and hoping to get 450-460 soon. Not worried. Wont have to until the 500 rwhp marker then start replacing the rods, pistons, and the other infamous engine components that are weak stock. Again if you dont really drive your car hard you could get away with higher... but it isn't recommended.

Cylinder pressure and the associated pressures on the rods and crank are created by a slew of things. The most important thing to remember is pre-ignition knock pressures can be 100 times stronger more violent than normal combustion pressure. 5 seconds of knock is enough to trash a motor compared to hundreds of hours making 450rwhp.

It seems like at 500...
Dollars.
My wallet begins to drain haha
You must have one helluva good job for a college kid (if I got that right) to be looking at superchargers already. Might I recommend the Brenspeed 302 rotating assy. if you're really looking to get up in the numbers?
From what I've heard, it is WELL worth the money.
