Have the new Gt Premium Pricing gone up?

Just was on Ford site pricing out a new 2013 GT Premium and saw the base pricing went up by almost $2,300.00. to $36,590.00 Existing inventory cars Base GT Premium was $34,300.00.

Whats the justification for that? Say it aint sooo.

there were a lot of changes that reflect in the price. I suggest finding a left over 12' or a used 11/12 if you don't like the changes and the price : )

It looks like according to their pricing site the GT Track pack option will be standard
on all GT Premium base cars. Will have to call Ford tommorrow to find out.

That would work for me since i want 3..73 gears
Ford site is getting a little confusing.

hids are also standard now, along with some other electronic features

edit.. didnt know you are referrign to the same model, not sure why this price change if its exactly same as what they were offering

aesthetic changes as well - more painted panels (no plastic trim on the bottom), LED expensive tail lights etc

So if you want a 2013 Gt premium my bet would to get one at the old base price built before may 1st to save money

OP is right, last week they were 34xxx now they are north of 36. what gives ford, what could change in a week that you make the same model year 2k more expensive. that is my definition of robbery. this is ridiculous, nothing has changed form last week to today so why the sudden price change. talk about screwing your customers. I am actually pissed at ford for once, never thought i would have to say that but i am.

i cant believe no one is talking about this, bump to the top because this one should not be ignored

OK.. So their cost has gone up and you think this should not be ignored? In a free market economy, price can fluctuate with demand. If the market cannot bare the increase in price, FoMoCo will have to either come back down on the price or stop selling it. I personally wouldn't loose sleep seeing as there might be more contributing to the cost increase such as the rise in raw materials, etc. that we aren't aware of.

Bottom line is that Ford can sell them for whatever they want. You can choose to buy or not buy. No inquisition necessary.

If you go to the Ford site and build a mustang the price increase is because the leather Recaro's are standard option on the premium selection however you can change the interior option to the older seats. Recaro's FTMFW! Ahem :)
