Where to look for a used 05 - 09 Mustang GT?
#11
I bought my 2005 GT Premium (5M) 2 years ago with 5,800 miles on the odometer for $18,000. I traded it in last month for a value of $14K with only 40k miles on the clock.
I found her on eBay from a seller in Florida and paid ($250) to have it shipped to Texas on a transport truck. The seller paid half of the shipping as part of the deal.

We traded in our 06GT and got like 14k for it with about 45k mi. on it.
But it had A LOT of mods that the dealer liked.
We would have sold it private but our GT500 was something we just came upon and the deal was so good we did not want to wait to sell the 06 and lose the chance at the GT500.
I wish I knew who owned it now.
It was a black 06GT with:
4.10 gears
CAI and custom tune
EXEDY Racing Clutch
FRRP Hot Rod cams
MGW short throw shifter
BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers
SLP exhaust
Custom Painted Engine and Fuel rail covers
Custom Katzkin leather interior
Awesome Pioneer radio with Bluetooth and Nav.
Custom Matte Black Stripe job
Window Louvers
Saleen Black Wheels
Hood pins
GT500 splitter
It had about 340 REAR WHEEL HP (which was after it had been run for a three hour drive to the dyno on a 104 degree day), which is GREAT for those mods.
That was on a Dyno Jet too. Of course all dynos vary a little, even if they are both the same kind.
We told ourselves the ONLY way we would EVER get rid of it was if we got a chance at a great deal on a GT500. Did not think we would ever have that chance but we did!
This car, the GT500... Will NEVER be sold or traded in.
It is WITHOUT A DOUBT our dream car.
But...be careful if you plan on buying a MODDED car.
You always have to get them checked out more than a stock car because you don't know if the mods were done properly or if it has been treated well.
