If you can afford another car note, then get it, if not, then don't. Best advice I can give you. I own both a V6 and V8, for different reasons, and all three serve their unique purpose.

I have both; my '07 GT and my wife's '06 V6. I love that she loves her V6 but I can't stand driving it from a power perspective. The GT has an entirely different feel. And my GT's fuel mileage is about 2-3 MPG worse than her V6 despite my GT with the 3.55's and her V6 with the 3.31's (which I don't think is bad at all).
The insurance may be a bit more but isn't that why we work; to pay for the things we want?
Guys I found a couple good deals but I worry about money. I can sell mine for 14k if I private sell it. (kbb). I have a habit of trying to analyze things cause I would hate to make a mistake. I work about 25 hours a week during school. And about 30 during the summer. I guess I'm just afraid of money but it's there which is why it's confusing

Ok, here's my thoughts. Do an HONEST breakdown of your net monthly income for the next couple of years and be as accurate as you can. From there, play around with what you would feel comfortable spending on a monthly payment and then look for a vehicle in that price range or 2-3k outside of your comfort zone. If you think that the vehicle that you located is worth letting go of the V6 and upgrading 2 cylinders, go for it. If not, wait until graduation and consider it a present once you've established yourself in the professional crowd. I was in your shoes when I was a Junior in college. Could have easily afforded a 2006 v6 but decided to spend ~4k more to eliminate regret and get what I wanted. Did it suck at times watching my buddies go out on Saturday nights when I was picking up a shift to cover my bills, yes. But when I started that engine or went WOT it was worth every single penny.
