Talking Sonic Blue with Black Stripes?

Hey hey what's up forum, looking to re-do my stripes and a couple of other things eventually to my car and looking for opinions if you have time. First off, here's a pic of my car as it is right now:

I am wanting to put the following on it:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/boss-s...atteblack.html
http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-...ipes-0512.html
http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustan...coop-0509.html

How do you think the whole blue/black color scheme will go? I see a lot of blue/white but not a whole lot of the blue/black.

Blue/black is always a good combo. Might be a little much with OTT stripes and side C's.

I had white stripes on mine when I got it...took em off. Maybe I'm not the best authority on stripes, but I like to take the less is more approach. Maybe black rocker stripes to accent the wheels, and a stripe coming from your new hood scoop? (A Mach 1ish look)

Another question is how the h*** do I remove the current stripes (which I am assuming are painted), I have tried everything it feels like X_X or can the new vinyl ones just go right over top of the faded paint?

If they are painted for sure I would just put vinyl over them and get rid of the rocker stripes on the side.

Flat black vinyl stripes on 2006 GT Vista Blue

Painted Black stripes on same 2006 GT Vista Blue.

I never really saw Black stripes on a Blue Mustang. So i did mine that way to be different. After my vinyl stripes got messed up I had them painted on.

Yes I really want to get rid of that crap and put one that doesn't say mustang or the C stripe I linked above, I can't decide

Easy Off Oven Cleaner will remove painted stripes (seriously). So long as they're over the clear.

Spray, wait 5-10 min, wipe, repeat. It'll take some e-grease.

Easy off oven cleaner? That sounds hilarious but if it works it's worth a shot

No joke. I had a 2007 Tiburon with half-painted, half-vinyl pinstripes (no clue why it was 50/50). I was going to stripe over them with matte black, but it was suggested I try oven cleaner.

Worked on a small section at a time and it came off. You have to scrub a bit, but it works. Plus, lemon scent!
