Sup guys, I put my louvers on awhile ago with the double sided tape that came on them and my corners popped off, so I got emblem glue and put them on 2 days ago and now my corners are coming undone again. It rained today hard could that be it? Any ideas on how to get them to stay on permanently? Thanks I need some help

If your Louvers were like mine they came with a pretty thin piece of 3m tape. After I notice them starting to come off I went to HomeDepot and purchased a thick 3m tape that gives the louvers a larger contact area. I also took a light sand paper and ruffed up the inside edge of the louver for a better contact. I haven't had a problem since

Take them completely off. Then re-tape them with automotive #2 3M tape and let them stay off the car for 24 hrs. Then prepare the paint surface with isopropyl alcohol and let dry. If you can get your hands on adhesion promotor, commonly found at a body shop, or automotive paint supply store, prep the area with this as well. Now just pop them on, applying at least 25lb of equal pressure around the perimeter. Wait 24hrs until it cures, and youre done. I just did this same process to a rear diffuser I applied. Good luck.

I had the same issue with one of my quarter panel louvers. I ended up removing the 3M tape in the corner, using fishing line and going back n forth in a sawing motion. After I got the majority of the tape off, i used sand paper to make sure all of the adhesion was off the louver. I used 90%+ rubbing alcohol to clean the area and applied SUPER DUTY 3M double sided (from Home Depot) sticky tape. Fixing the one corner took twice as long as installing both louvers! Patience is key! Good luck

I got 3m double-sided molding tape from O'reilly's and didn't drive my car for 24 hours. Have yet to have a problem

It's all in the surface prep and curing.

Before applying the new tape to the louvers and then the louvers to the windows, you'll need to remove the old tape completely from the louvers and THEN use a proper solvent. You can get both the tape and solvent from any auto parts store. Be sure to use the solvent on the qtr windows prior to application.

The surface temperatures should be in the 60-80 deg. F range and you need to let everything cure properly for 12-24 hours without moving the vehicle and with keeping it dry. Vibration and moisture can affect curing.
