Saw a 2013 Mustang - But something Just Wasn't Right

Yes you can put 2013 tails on a 2012. Someone here on the forums had OEM '13 tail lights for sale and I was the first bidder for a couple days then got in a bid fight with another person and a day later it just blew up to like $900 with several bidders. Someone's lucky Those go for $800 PER LIGHT...

Well, let's just say that, for those that remember the original design and hold that dear to our hearts as we grew up, the 05-09 design is more to our liking, and we'll allow those shots to simply fly across the bow.

I saw three 2013s on Friday on my way to the Caney river in Tennessee with my friends...one black, one red, and one in Gotta Have it Green. I loved the tails on all of them, and the green looked amazing. I haven't been a fan of it in the media releases online but in person it looks incredible.

Now here's an idea I've been turning over in my head every time I see the new taillight design. What I love about the design is that the 3 lenses are clearly defined. You can argue the shape and size all you like, but my only issue with my ('06) taillights (and this is only an issue since the new design came out) is that the assembly is clearly all one piece. So you get some bleed from the light next to it. The sequential tail light mod clearly defines each area of the tail light, but at full brake or sitting still, its all one lens. (Does that make sense?)
Wouldn't it be cool if someone (AM) made something like the taillight covering or whatever that fit over the taillight, snapping into place (or adhering, I'm just spit-balling) and separating each of the three "lenses" from each other. Have some in black plastic and then factory paint codes. I think it'd look sweet.
In my head, everything looks awesome.

I saw a 2013 GT the other day.....silver, black racing stripe, quarter window louvers...must have been one of the appearance packages it had on.
When you see them in person, wow, they're killer looking. I wasn't a fan of the design tweaks until the other day, though.
