Loud Clicking Noise in the middle of my dash!

I have a 07 mustang and when i turn the ignition key there's a loud clicking noise in the middle of the dash
Im thinking its an actualator for the vents but i was wondering how hard would it be to be able to take the dash apart and fixing the problem and what part number it would be for the part
And if it would be possible if someone had a step by step on taking the dash apart that would be awesome thanks

Before ripping into the dash, confirm that your battery and alternator check out (have them load tested). The electrical/charging system in the S197 is just shy of mediocre and is often the cause of electrical oddities.

Well i realized that i could take the glovebox out and get to it
now that i unplugged it, it dosent make any noise now, downfall though is that i cant use my defroster on the dash
now i just need to find out where i can buy this part(other than the dealership somewhere cheap)

... and then, of course, you might get some recommendations from at least one forum member...

Same thing happened to me last month except it was the actuator that controlled the vents to the feet. i was surprised to see that the dealer was actually one of the cheapest places to buy the part.

i fixed the problem and it ended up being the actuator and it only costed 37$ even with taxes! what a relief

Had the same problem last year. Dealer fixed it as it is still under factory warranty. Only issue I've had with my car. (Knock on wood)
