My 0-60 Times with Different Mods
I just thought it would be neat to show you guys how my 0-60 has improved as I've modded the car (my driving skills have also improved). Let me know what you think!
First vid: 1 year ago. Mods were CAI and tune. Try not to cringe at my driving, or video editing for that matter. Second vid: Beginning of May 2012. Mods were: Roush CAI, Bama 87 tune, Nitto NT555 275/40/18, Summit Racing O/R H pipe, 4.10 gears Vid from tonight. Mods are: 4.10 gears | Bama 89 performance tune | Roush CAI | Roush Axlebacks | Nitto NT555 275/40/18 | BBK Ceramic Longtube Headers | BBK O/R Shorty X Pipe | FRPP Hot Rod Cams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJmu1...ature=youtu.be |
Awesome videos, thanks.....
Faster than the stock 5.0, right? |
No problem. And I doubt it! I'd be really pleased if I was. Now I'm gonna have to go look up the quoted stock 0-60 for the 5.0 :P
|
Nice times, awsome car.
|
Stock 5.0 runs right around 4.2-4.3.
|
Thanks man. I think with a driver mod the first vid would have been .2 or .3 seconds faster, but it's still encouraging to see the mods pay off!
edit: ^^^ yeah, that's what I figured. |
edmunds says 4.8 and most google searches yield 4.6-4.8.. Strange.....
I do know this: The summer tires with brembo packages do not spin a bit in 90 degree heat with traction control off. Maybe 4.2 is achievable. <-- off topic I know, but damn it's been getting hot here in GA. |
That's what they're designed for! :P I do want to make a note that all of these videos were shot while I was wearing flip flops(just thought about that) so my shifts would be a bit better if I had had the forethought to wear shoes.
|
Hate driving with flip flops
|
Yeah, but I do it a lot during the summer. It's only inconvenient when I want to make a video like this lol. I think if I could eliminate wheelspin on my launch I could get in the 4.4x range.
