yeah they might laugh at you but not only did the 2013 just come out, it has a crapload of miles for such a new car.. so couple of variables against them. Oh and previous poster got his brand new 2012 a few months ago for only 26k!!

But those were likely all highway miles... Looking at the pics, it is obviously a Deluxe and not a Premium... There are too many differences interior wise that, for me atleast, make the Premium package definitely worth the cost of admission... I love the leather, I thoroughly love have SYNC, and the MYCOLOR stuff and illumination is something I wish I had in my 2005, but didn't have...

If you are ok with the package, then I would say that if they came down to $22k it would probably be a really nice deal.

Good luck,

Don

Seems like the used 5.0 GTs are holding their value better than previous models. I checked my car out on NADA the other day (was just curious what I could expect if I traded mine on a '13) and was surprised to see that trade value is just a tad below what I paid for it over a year ago. I would expect the car in the ad to sell for maybe a tad below 25k since its not a premium and it's an automatic.

The price is pretty good.... I would be happy with 24K..Seems to have exhaust on it already... That's another $300+

Bite me Andy.

I paid 28k out the door with 1.9% financing through my Federal credit union.

Why would I BS the guy?

30% depreciation in the first year is not unheard of. Perhaps a little high for 1 year, but not unheard of at all.

Yeah, I'm not sure how accurate NADA is. I just checked my car and it came back at 28750 for a trade in. I somehow doubt a dealer is going to give me that much for a 2011. If they would I'd trade it in right now.

seems like a good price, 2700 below dealer invoice, seems kind of like a BS price or that you arent giving all information though. Seems like theres got to be some catch , or the dealer just straight up lost ~3000. Bad business by the dealer i would say since im sure they could have found a person that would pay more.

On a side note, i got mine for around the same, but its a premium 2011 and had 15k miles on it.
Not trying to be rude, but you may not know a whole lot about buying a car....Damn I sound like an *** here, and Im sorry buttttt....

When you go to buy a car the first thing I do is ask for the fleet / credit union manager. Once I sit down I ask, What is the invoice price? He prints me a paper with invoice price and MSRP. Invoice is the price that you should always start with. You should NEVER pay more than invoice price MINUS fords rebates. Why should you pay more than the dealer pays?? That makes no sense the dealer is just the middle man, and they make money by moving the cars off the lot quickly. They also make money on trade ins, and naive people.

Which in my case invoice price was a little over 28k, ford was offering 2k off the gts, and I also got another $500 rebate for being a full time student.

So that put me at 25,500, but I wasn't done... then you make the dealer get into their "Hold back" which is basically they make more money if they sell the vehicle within the first 90 days of it being on the lot. In my case the car had just arrived the previous week, soooooo I got another two hundred off.

I have a very detailed paper explaining the car buying process that I wrote last semester... Car shopping is truly a game of chess...

In the end I got my 2012 GT base for 25,300 plus TT&L.

26,9XX Out the door.

And honestly if I would have been a tad bit more patient I believe I could have got a few hundred more off...

I bought mine used so i dont think rebates would apply to me, would they? I also doubt they would tell me exactly what they paid for it as a trade in. There were 2 2011s at the dealer i went to , a race red premium brembo brake package one with hood scoop roush exhaust, hurst shifter etc for 28000 they were asking and it had 17k miles. The one i bought 2011 premium with premium wheels all stock etc 15k miles for 27000. The race red was probably a better deal but I wanted the gray. I traded in my old mustang and negotiated the price they gave me for that up and they took a bit off the 27k asking price i think 26800 is what i got it for, 6000 for my trade in 03 mustang with 105k miles (average trade in value is 5k). Ended up getting a deal i was happy with since my old mustang needed a new intake manifold and some other work which would total about 2000. I put 3k for tax title etc down and financed ~20k@355$ a month. I think original MSRP of mine was like 32500 - not sure what rebates it would have qualified for.

Ive since put on steeda sport springs with koni yellows, forgestar f14's with pilot supersports, roush axlebacks, 5% tint. Sold my stock premium wheels and tires for 1150. loving it

I agree with the majority,26k is to high especially with all those miles. There are some new 2011's still out there deeply discounted and you could by a base 2012 for close to what this is going for.

Good Luck
