Default Does this massive dent in my resonator come stock?

I was looking under my car and tightening up some screws etc just making sure my exhaust was on good because it sounded a little weird today. Well i found this massive dent in one of my resonators, i have no recollection of hitting anything, and i dont even see how its possible to get a dent like this. Mabe a shop that did some maintenance or alignment after i got my springs installed jacked it up on that resonator somehow? I really dont know. Its a 2011 mustang gt, does anyone else have this dent?

No, considering the other side isn't dented and this side is only half dented. Looks like somebody jacked up the car onto it imo

Exactly what I was thinking.

Call up the shop where you last had it worked on.

Could also be where you drove over a speed bump with only one wheel.

Yes. It does come like that from the factory.

Also..just for reference, if it was caused by a speed bump, it would be scraped to hell. These are stainless steel..

Again, this is from the factory. There have been a few threads on it, and mine has the exact same "dent".

Mine has the same dent, on the passenger side though. I just noticed it last weekend.

The dent is normal. Not sure why, but it's the usual in 2011+'s

I do think it may be normal since I have heard of some ppl saying it was there but never noticed it myself until now. Is there any official explanation of this?

If its stock, i think the only explanation is that somehow the prototype model of the exhaust got dented there accidentally, and some ford minion was told to copy the prototype EXACTLY , including the dent and didnt question why the dent may be there.

or mabe it adds to the uniqueness of the sound??

there just is no reasonable explanation from what i can imagine

bang on right there. they probly figured out that they could tune the sound "perfectly"by doing that. might even out the note on both side or something
