Paint it all. Use a bonding promoter if it's plastic. You'd hate to install it and then realize you can see part of the unpainted area.

It appears my advice is so quick that I answered the question before it was even posed. Go me!

Default In dire need of some advice.

I am fixing to order my GT front bumper and I already have my GT grille surround....my question is how should I go about painting the grille surround? Just paint the whole thing even what would be hidden when the grille is put in it? Leave the 2 columns unpainted? any opinion?

You're fast as lightning man! Share you secret, haha.

Yea, it would totally suck if I was able to see part of the unpainted area from behind the grille.

I would awesome assume that looking at that picture of my grille the pieces that wouldn't be painted wouldn't show but I guess paint it all for good measure.

After looking at the picture if I painted the whole thing wouldn't the top of the grille surround be visible(gold) behind the grille though?

I guess I'm not properly visualizing what you're wanting it to look like.

A competent painter should be able to mask that area off so it remains black behind the bar grill insert...
