New member, New Mustang, Modifications and such, Scrub questions.
Alright, so i know i'm going to sound like a total scrub and all but i recently turned 16 and i got a 2006 White V6 Mustang /w Red Leather. Now i was looking at a lot of modifications i want to make in time, one thing i couldn't get a straight answer was the rear fascia, (i believe) the part between the tail lights which holds the mustang emblem and silver plate.
I've seen people replace this with a black one, and i couldn't find something like this. Seeing as it is apart of the trunk how does this work? Is it a sticker i lay over it? I'm totally clueless.

^ That link isn't the product, but it's a image of what i'm talking about, that black strip in between tail lights. (Notice how it is extremely glossy, doesn't appear to be a sticker but that car is a GT, is the trunk for GT and V6's difference? In 2 pieces?
^ Is that the product?
The modifications i want to make overtime is
1. http://www.carid.com/2006-ford-musta...ers-84534.html Tail Light Covers, Glossy Black
2. http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdc-dynamite-sticks.html Sequential Tail Lights (Like the GTs)
3. http://www.mustangdepot.com/olc3/exterior/qtr-win.htm Painted Side Window Louvers (HP- Performance White)
4. http://compare.ebay.com/like/2209873..._lwgsi=y&cbt=y Pioneer CD Reciever with MIXTRAX (Mainly because MIXTRAX has amazing reviews and i'm quite curious how it will change up my playlists instead of hearing the same songs over, and over. Plus 2006 Shaker 500s do not support straight AUX cords.)
I'm just wanting to see what everybody's thoughts are, any recommendations, or other cool modifications. (I'm not very big on bulky exterior modifications though, like skirts etc, i bought a mustang for the sleekness of it, i didn't buy a camaro for a reason)
Once again, I know you are thinking "This kid is 16, owns a mustang, and can't even name every part, he doesn't deserve it." But i'm very new to the car and car modifications world, don't be rude.
Thanks in advance, and cheers mates!

I'm trying to find a glossy looking Decklid, just plain, straight forward, and glossy.

Like the one this GT has, but i've only seen them on GTs. Any idea if there are glossy black decklids for v6's 06-09?

The decklid between the V6s and GTs are the same. All the body panels on the V6s and GTs are the same except for the front and rear bumpers and the grilles. And just an FYI, the sequential tail lights didn't come stock on any Mustang in '05-'09 (V6 or GT).

Welcome to the forum! I was 17 when I got this car and I'm not afraid to say that I didn't know sh** when it came to modifications or even maintenance but I learned quick. Any decklid panel that will work on GTs will fit V6s as well and vice versa.
You're definitely on a good start so far, but a couple things to think about if you're getting rear light covers:
1) They're VERY dark. Be careful with people riding your *** to work/class/etc as they may not be able to see your tails in the daylight very well and you may end up in an accident.
2) If you are deadset on those covers, for the love of God, please revove those gaudy CTS emblems on the corners. They stick out like a sore thumb and look awful.
Since you're in highschool, I know that you'll be looking at cheap mods so here's some good ones:
Tinted turn signals
Shorty antenna (3", 8" or 14")
Single axle-back muffler like a GT takeoff (GT muffler)
blacked out pony emblem
Interior billet or satin trim pieces
Not too many exterior mods that you can do that are really cheap unless you find a good deal though. You gotta pay to play haha
