Again, the 87 tune keeps the rear o2's on. I believe the race, or race and performance tunes turn them off. This is what I've been told. All I know is I loaded up my 87 tune, ran it for 30 miles, and passed with flying colors.

Would be worth a try to load the 87 tune. You can go to a place like autozone and ask them to check if your sensors read as "ready" and "ok" or what not.

When I plugged it in it saved the current 93 octane tune as stock since it was unmarried to the car.

Definitely wasnt what I wanted to do. The issue was that I received a faulty tuner. It didnt work the first time I plugged it in so I unplugged and replugged. Then it powered on so I went ahead and tuned it. 5 minutes after that it never turned back on again.
Wow, that sucks... Talk about bad luck. I would request a new tuner.

Not sure why 02's would ever be off unless requested OR with O/R pipe.

It's an option when you build you tunes, but why would anyone turn off O2's without a o/r pipe?

Unless requested or he put in O/R X/H pipe as an option the O2's should be on with all tunes.

Sounds like a wacky tuner. Would not start with strategy tune... something not right.

If you have O/R pipe, good luck. I had to put my OE pipe back on to pass.

Bingo.

If you don't have an o/r pipe, just get a new tune. If you do, get a stock pipe to put on for a few days, AND a new tune.

Either way AM will help you out.

That's just what people on this forum have told me. Bama's 93 race tunes won't pass emissions for that reason. Again, that's just what I was told.

What I can say is from experience my 87 tune passed. Either way, as BleedinBlue stated, Bama will help you out. I wouldn't worry.

I have 3 emissions friendly custom tunes (87, 89, 93). I have passed emissions with my 87 and 93 custom tunes. Since you purchased your CAI/Tuner from AM, you should have free tunes for life. With that said, request an emissions friendly custom tune from AM and upload to your Mustang. Once you upload the custom tune, make sure to drive 20+ miles for a full drive cycle, before going to get your emissions test.
