Default Parts Back From Dipping

Getting started on motor bay detailing. This is my first step.Have a chrome strut brace coming, hopefully it will be here Monday .Think next going to go after the caps and covers.Haven't decided if I want to go with carbon fiber or billet..I could get the covers and caps dipped in a carbon fiber wrap,he showed me a few samples and it looks really great.
This hydrographic dipped stuff is awesome. They did the pattern then tinted the clear coat in candy red, really made the pattern pop.Really happy with how this came out.

beautiful - I would like to do the same sometime soon. I'd like to do my strut tower brace in a similar fashion, along with the pieces you had done.

was this a local shop? they did a great job.

Damn! That is beautiful! What is the base pattern they used before the overcoat? Please let us know who did this fine work for you.
Did you have to prep the plastic before they did the hydrographic process?

Dude that's incredibly sick looking... I like it alot. But I have to ask... Why haven't you invested in an oil separator for your car yet? I didn't see one anywhere on the passenger side (where it's needed). I can confirm the need as I have had mine on for the last 3000 miles and it has an inch of oil in the collection cup.

Thanks all.The pattern is called Reaper Black. As far as color,I like the red/back combo.I originally was going to do the strut brace but after trying to get a theme going and looking at the bay,I wanted to be careful not get to heavy on having a pattern on everything. That's when I thought the chrome strut brace would look good over this.I think some solid colors/carbon fiber or billet will complement this on some of the misc parts.
Local shop did this in Gary Indiana. There are several online shops but after looking at his work,i decided to keep it local.
As far as the separator, not yet, same with the cai.Maybe soon.

After seeing how much oil should've gotten into the intake had I not had the JLT separator, I'm sold on the importance... It should be the first mod for any Mustang owner, no doubt. Even before the standard CAI/Tune...

Good luck.
