The diablo should come pre-loaded with some generic, crappy tunes that'll support many CAI's. But you'll be pissed that you didn't do it right and spend the few extra $$'s for an SCT with good custom tunes from Brenspeed or AM/Bama. Bama used to write tunes for Diablo and MAY have started again. I'd call AM about it IF you already have the Diablo.

Yea I've been debating it back and forth and I'm just really unsettled I guess I don't plan on doing much more then a short throw and the cold air intake I just won't have enough money to build It how I want haha fuel injections expensive thanks a lot for the info

The hand held tuner is simply the hardware used to up/download the software; it has NO bearing on performance. The quality of the tune is what impacts performance.
Bama used to write tunes for the Diablo. When they joined AM they stopped supporting the Diablo but I may have heard that they'll write Diablo tunes now but you'll have to call them. Brenspeed, AM and a few others write tunes that run circles around the Diablo and SCT canned tunes.

Well what I'm saying is will the canned tunes work good for now I can get a brand new predator for like 250 thats why I'm wondering I just wanna get it tuned for now I'm not looking to do anything to crazy but it seems just spending the 370 on a sct would be the way I just wanted to know if I could buy the diabo and be good to go out of the box thanks for all the info

If your trying to save a buck, then just keep it stock and save yourself $250.

These tuner questions seem to be coming up a lot. I don't have any affiliation with any of these companies. I've only bought tunes from brenspeed, so I can't speak for the other companies.
If you just want a tune that will keep your check engine light from coming on with a cold air intake, then any tune will do that I'm sure. If you want the best possible tune for your car, short of a dyno tune, with the best throttle response, power delivery and shifting ,if you are auto, then get a tuner loaded with custom tunes from one of the shops that actually tune mustangs.
Predator/sct are not tuning mustangs everyday or at all as far as I know. Brenspeed, bama, evolution performance, lethal performance, american muscle, tillmanspeed, rwtd, vmptuning and many more are actually modifying cars, putting them on dynos, and writing tunes for different mods.
