Alright you have 15 to 20 to drop into you 10' stang yeah an new 13' is quick but not as quick as you can make your car with 15 because a super charger price ranges from 3 to 5 and good heads can get up to 1 and lowering springs are about 220 and after you still have money to chip it dyno tune it and with the supercharged and the chip on the dunk you should have more horses than that Shelby

After some thought here's my opinion.
I would trade the 2010 in and get the new 2013 GT. You can upgrade the heck out of your '10 with that kind of cash however you may kiss that money good by when/if you decide to sell the car later down the road. Just because you put 15,000 into a car does not mean your going to get 15,000 back when you sell it. the kids out there might get excited when they see wide tires and superchargers, but they most likely may not have the money to buy it, and older mustang owners may not be interested in a used, modified '10 model.
At least with a newer car you get that 3 yr 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and that peace of mind knowing that you have a new car, and that newer/better 5.0 V8. Your 2010 trade in value plus your cash and you'll have a new '13 model with very little left over to pay, most likely paid off within 3 yrs or less, with very very low payments, there's many options out there.
Now if you do decide to keep your 2010. I would suggest going to Roush or Steeda and ask them if they can still convert your car since your still under 36,000 miles/3yrs. That way, you can save or even increase your cars value by getting serialized and may be under their warranty for the upgrades they would do.

I would guess this guy knows he will not get any money back on mods. If u have ur current ride paid off then I'd suggest a supercharger and a rotating assembly. I have an 07gt and it's been paid off for a few years which has allowed to play with my money a bit. Newer doesn't always mean better.

Personally I would go with a newer FRPP crate engine. Several are available in various configurations. At least these would be 100% reliable and you could get your money back when you sell.
Don't forget, the engine you would be removing would have a very good resale value as well. So you can add this "value" to your budget.
You could start a thread "how much would you pay for this engine?"

Good morning /afternoon fellas,
After reading all of these comments, you can see why I don't know what to do! One thing I didn't mention is that I do owe about $8000 on the car still but I've already gone to a local Ford dealer that would give me $20,000 for a trade in. I always said to myself, if I could just save $5000, make sure the wife is taken care of, I would just supercharge. Now that I have more to play with, it's a tougher decision. Mo money, mo problems?

My turn to weigh in. Im running an M90 on my 10 with 4.10 gears (and you can read other mods too) and my car is a beast. I've beaten every 5oh I've come across, I can beat most bikes...the cars that are beating me have to be special in some respect. Now, I will say that probably every new 5.0 and the one boss Ive raced it wasnt a total a-whoopin but Ive won in every race with them. All they will need is mild mods to probably beat me.
And maaaannnn...the whine of that M90 SC is intoxicating. I would NOT trade my '10 for a 5.0 because there simply isnt enough to justify going to such a high price for no gain. The only car right now I'd consider trading mine in on is a '13 GT500...which oddly enough Im trying to avoid the Ford dealers today so I dont go buy one! lol
Out the door you can figure 5-6k for a SC install. Do some suspension work like springs and dampeners, (top end consider a Watts link which is about 1k), gears...etc...and you could make on beautiful ride. And still be under the 10k mark to look better and go faster than the current crop of 5.0's.

I'd personally either:
Trade the 2010 for a 2013 5.0
or
Build up the 4.6L and slap a blower on it (forged internals, cams, headers, etc). You will have plenty to lower it and put wheels on it. You can push like 550whp and keep it as a daily
I would think that a 4.6L with all of those mods would be way more **** than a stock 5.0.

Jas5,
Those are the two options that we are trying to narrow down to one option! Pretty tough! What I'm leaning towards is trading in! Here's what I came up with. Trade 2010 in for $20,000, I owe $8000. Put $12000 down on a "13". Get wheels, tune, lowered for $3000. Sound good? The sound of a blower on the 2010 is what's holding me back. I could make it nasty!!!!
