Officially sorry I bought this car

Sorry that you're sorry but I fully understand. My Stang is my first personal domestically designed/built vehicle since 1983. In my driving lifetime, I've bought 2 new (including my Stang) and 4 used (including my wife's Stang) domestic vehicles. Other than the Stangs which are still low mileage (each under 40k miles), the other 4 domestics were garbage. I've owned 6 Toyotas; the first 5 tallied close to 1,000,000 miles and ALL of those put together had fewer issues and expenses in those 1,000,000 miles than any ONE of the domestics; the best of the latter which barely managed 100,000 miles.
I've seen quite a few on the forum posting that they've had good luck with their high-mileage Stangs and I hope that's the case and not the exception. The domestics HAVE gotten better but I still put my DD money in a foreign car. I work hard for my money and as much as I'd PREFER to buy american, I simply can't waste my money in that manner.
I believe most of your anguish isn't the fault of Ford but still, unnerving and disenchanting.

I feel for you completely. I certainly love my mustang and knock on wood, so far I haven't truly had any problems with mine. I can't say I put any faith in Ford as a whole (nor any domestic manufacturer, as nuke said).
I think great strides are being made and honestly, I WANT to believe in our domestics, but my mom drives a camry and my first hand experience says that she'll never have to put as much money into her car as I will have to put into mine over the years. The japanese know what they're doing when they put together a car.
I'd say use these flaws as opportunities to upgrade or something to that effect it's just making the best of a crappy situation. I do feel for you though, I'm sorry you're in the bad situation!

Not a big fan of convertibles, unless it's a convertible hardtop. Ford should really stand behind the paint though. Chrysler had a problem with their paint years ago. it would just start flaking off the roof and hoods of their cars and trucks. I still don't think they know how to paint a car!

Sorry you are having issues. I hope things start looking up for you man.

On a serious note, it seems to me like the more you go back to a certain service department, the more they seems to become a bit hostile or unhelpful etc., and it's B.S., i'd personally love to work on Mustangs for a living, what's their problem? Ya know? I'm pretty sure that's any manufacturer, but the fact is, it's their job and they shouldn't be giving you $h1t about it. If they don't like it, why are they working that job?? They could be off fluffing dudes for porno shoots or whatever it is they secretly like doing more than working on Fords...

It's disgusting, and why I absolutely hate dealing with dealerships.

It's a car. Things are going to wear out and break down and if not properly maintained, go to heck a lot faster.
I knew a lady who literally never washed her Toyota since the day she bought it brand new. She had it for 8 years and it was a rusty old POS and ran like crap and needed constant mechanical work until the day it was totalled - which was not her fault as she was rear ended in traffic. She was actually proud of the fact that she had never washed nor vacuumed out her car. I told her she was an idiot and the best thing that ever happened to that poor car was getting totalled and putting an end to it's miserable existence living with her.
