Guess the sarcasm was a little too subtle that time.

You are right! I noticed today that they were on when I pulled in at the dry cleaners and could see the reflection of the car in the windows. They caught my eye because as I pulled up I noticed the lights were lit, and as soon as I put it in park they went out. Pulled the shifter back into D and they popped on.

So I never noticed them before since I would start the car, and of course it would be in park when I got out. So when I looked after grabbing the mail or something, or when I went out to double check if they were lit, of course they were not on since the car was in park.

LOL! I had a memory of seeing them on, but wanted to verify before I posted what you just responded to. So, I went outside and turned on the car, put on the brake and went around to look at them, they were off. I then pulled into my driveway behind my truck and saw them on as I pulled close. I put on the brake, got out, and they were off again. I had to pull away from the truck (so I could see the lights) and then put my e-brake and noticed that they went off.
