I'll admit I'm curious. I don't care at all for the 351m and 400m after dealing with them in older Bronco's and pickups, but this sounds like it'll be interesting. Good luck!

should have posted this up a few months ago, i just sold a set of aussi heads and a aluminum edelbrock intake for a 400..

i built the motor and it was in my 78 bronco, made crazy torque but unfortunately I sunk the truck and hydroed the motor bending rods etc .... so i parted out all the performance parts then dropped a stock 351M in the bronco and sold it too was a off road rig

The modified motors are a stout setup, the only downfall is the lack of aftermarket support. The whole problem was timing, they came out right in the start of the crazy emission changes.

I know i have seen the as little as 6 and as high as 8 degree retard on the timing in stock form ... i liked my 400 it had lots of get up and go

With the tmeyer 434 stroker kit and a big cam adn headwork I can see some serious power.
