Only way to have warranty voided is blow the motor. Ford will pay to fix almost everything else esp an o2 sensor that a tune doesn't do anything too. Light back on this morning and been on all day.

Usually O2 sensor CELs are related to tuning issues. Sometimes they go bad but usually it had something to do with tune the car has loaded on it.

Best of luck to you at Ford.

Thanks. But even if Ford for some odd reason doesn't cover it I work at a dealer and can get the sensor for $65 instead of +$100 thru Ford. I don't think I will have a problem with Ford and I'm leaving the steeda cai and tune on the car when I take it in Monday. Ive known the advisor I deal with for 15yrs and the dealer is ok with the mods I've done. Ie understands that unless I blow the motor everything else is covered by Ford under the warranty. If I blow the motor they can't over look that and try and cover it anyway. That's on me. But a sensor going bad isn't costing ford a bundle to fix. Ford just doesn't want to spring for new motors on tuned cars. I'll def be keeping this thread up to date with what all happens with thos issue and if ford covered it or not.

Agreed. ALMOST ALWAYS any modification, especially something like a tune, will be grounds for them to void your warranty.

Not true. A warranty can be voided before a blow engine because they designed the car with specs A and now they have user loaded specs B, they can and almost always will argue that the cause of all or any issue is the unapproved modification.

You have to prove the tune didn't cause the issue as much as they have to prove it did.

As before, good luck.
