Default Stepper Motor Part # Question - 05 GT

OK, so I'm New on this site, but have been getting alot of helpful info reading the threads.
Here's my problem.. I (after doing some research) found out that my Gas gauge stepper is bad. So, like many others with the 05 GT I went on ebay and ordered 4- x25.589 steppers. what i got was 4- x27.168 steppers. Does anyone know if these will work? they appear the same as far as pin location etc.. but that # comes up for GM cars..? I have only been able to find one other part number on another thread but it too was different, and did not say if it was for the v-6 or v-8..
2nd question..
I dont know if this could be related or not, but the Diagnostic reader also said that the outside air temp was -6 degrees. (it was about 70) I looked up where to find the outside air temp unit, and my car does not appear to have one...at least not anywhere to be found. I've seen pics of where it is supposed to be..
And lastly..
I'm another one of the many getting the lean bank 1 and lean bank 2 codes.. I have checked or had someone else check every sensor imaginable. the 02's are good, the MAF is good, there are no vacuum leaks, coolant system good. Could it be that I'm getting those codes, and the check engine light all due to the fuel gauge?? I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be helpful.. Thanks Folks..
