Default 05 gy vs old and new sti

so 2 different sti wants to race me one is old and one is the newer style! i got about 32,000 miles all stock and they have cat back and intake what should i do? i don't want to lose i take a lot of pride with my stand i won't hear the end if i lose

The shorter the race, the more likely you'll lose. They have equal power, but loads more traction. Hope you can launch well.

try and race from a roll, takes away from the AWD advantage. Buddy has an 11 STI, at the track we are almost identical for times but I have to play catch up all the way down the track, only raced once from a roll and I jumped in front and slowly pulled away from him.

If they have a catback and an intake, their car is running worse than before. Highly unlikely though, as it's a well known fact to not put an intake on those cars without a tune for the intake. If they have a downpipe, that's where they'll see real gains. You won't win if you're all stock. I used to eat Mustangs all day long when I had both of my STi's. The new 5.0 pulls hard from a roll on stock STi's now though.

Don't forget to post your 1/4 mile times afterwards too, because I know you guys are going to a track, right?
