To Keep Modding...or to Prepare to Trade?

I'm going to be in trouble...This week I've done some shopping that the fiance' doesn't know about. LCA's, PHB, shocks + struts, springs, strut mounts and an o/r X pipe.
I've shopped on forums and on Ebay and found some amazing deals, getting everything for less than $750 (That's with a brand new set of pro-kit springs for a V6 that I'm going to flip) so I've done REALLY good. We'll see if she agrees once these boxes start rolling in though!

I was the same way when I traded in my 02 GT for this 06. Lots of buyer's remorse. The 02 was paid down to about $7K. Right now my 06 is down to about $12K I think...and I'm paying a moderate monthly payment with a low interest rate. This time next year my principle should easily be in the $7-8K range.
I definitely like the 11+ body better, but the extra debt is intimidating. If/When this happens I don't think I could bring myself to pay more than $25-26K, just out of principle.
You make valid points, and points I have been going back and forth with already.

Unless you want a 5.0?
As someone who has bought and sold 5 mustangs in 3 years, trust me... keep the one you have do some light modding, and wait for the 2014. I would rather have an Anniversary model when you're this close.
Unless you end up doing what i did which was find an off-used engineer vehicle from FMC. Substatial savings on those models.

Well since you like the 2010-2013 Body style, get a 2010, same style but even lower cost than the 2011 because 4.6 GT's lost some value.

This plan is contingent on the fiance learning to drive this car. I've already made it clear to her that if she doesn't learn to drive it I'm trading it, even if it is for another 3V (But probably not, lol)
