You need to find a shop that has a system to flush using the transmission pump. My ford dealer uses a BFG system that cleans out the fluids and then new fluids are used.
The cost was about 200.00
The transmission made less noise after the flush.
Maybe I'm wasting my money?? but keeping fluids changed out is one of the better ways too have your auto last.

Plus would having a SC be servere service, I would think so.

I realize it's a completely different animal, but my finance had her transmission flushed on her Hyundai Tucson (50k miles) at the local Auto Tire for about $130. I told her to have it done because the tranny started slipping, that was a few months ago and no slippage since. Again, maybe her car doesn't have the "closed" system, I don't know.

If there is a grinding noise in the tranny, a Flush won't fix it. Seems to soon for a flush, or a grinding noise in the transmission. Trans Fluid is made to go at least 50,000 miles or more. Less under extreme conditions.

Slippage came from low fluid level to begin with. When it was refilled during the flush the slipping will go away. If you have slipping going on, CHECK the Fluid Level next time. It will damage the tranny if not refilled in time.

I bet you are just low on fluid. That's the source of the noise. This tranny does lose fluid. Many people don't realize it.
