probably because of the low throughput of bluetooth version 2. whatever they are using which is 2.1 mbits/sec. Between streaming the music and the information that goes along with it, meta data would degrade the quality of the musica data it could transmit. Just a guess.

There is more informed info on the subject. http://community.crutchfield.com/forums/t/23996.aspx

Anyways from what I've read on the subject, none of the OEM stereos in cars today can do it. Only some of the recent aftermarket stereos can.

Nah that's definitely incorrect (your last statement). My Mercedes C250 sedan with no stereo upgrades does it perfectly, and the car was about $1000 less than my Mustang GT/CS.

It streams album, track number, song title, and artist for sure.

And the display doesn't look like a piece of garbage from some car I had in the 90s. I obviously didn't buy the car for its stereo capabilities, but I am extremely disappointed in what it DOES have. And I didn't pay for the navi with backup cam because I didn't order the car, I just took what the dealer had (which might have been a mistake).

I just rented a base model Ford Focus which essentially has the same radio as the Mustang. Not the subs and Shaker, but the controls and display are of the same quality (or lack thereof).

I will probably be trading this car in as soon as I get back from Afghanistan for something about as fast but maybe a little more luxurious so things like the quality of the display don't irk me.

Thanks for the correction. Keep in mind the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Mustangs all share the same system and that system was designed before 2010. 2013 Mustangs had some upgrades in the system overall so I don't know if a 2013 stang would do what you're looking for.

The Focus was revised in 2012 and has a newer system than a 2011 Mustang. If it was rental it was most likely a 2012.

As for price, speed and luxury, those three are mutually exclusive. Can't have all three without giving on one of those. Just my $0.02 For the Stang you give on the Luxury part.

I understand, and I agree. I'll pay more and keep the last two. I'm thinking about a TT-S next time around. I'm not stuck on the muscle car, although I've previously owned a 2010 Camaro SS, a 2004 CTS-V, and a 2003 Z06.
