Two questions for you guys.

1) Can you update Sync on the Mustang yourself? The dealers around here are idiots and would want to keep the car all damn day. Like burning something to a CD and then putting it in or something? I'm wondering also if an update (I purchased mine in December 2010) would allow song titles and whatnot to be displayed on the screen instead of just "Bluetooth Audio" and if it would stream Pandora....I had a rental Ford Focus a few weeks ago and it streamed Pandora, and yet my Mustang that costs about twice as much doesn't. Hopefully that's a simple software fix. And my wife's Mercedes displays all the song data from my iPhone onto the screen. Granted her screen doesn't look like a display from the 80s (ours kinda does) and has a lot more real estate, but I figure it could at least fit the song title and whatnot on there.

2) What would the cost be to upgrade the mirror etc with backup cam?

I have the base stero with Sync & get album title & artist when using the USB (Stick a thumb drive in the plug & go). I can pull that info up using the Text button--it does the same for radio stations sending the RDS info, too.

So when you guys are using bluetooth, do you get the song title or does it just say Bluetooth Media Stream or whatever?

I'll have to try BT. I just have a huge USB thumbdrive in the console plug & use that--it leaves BT dedicated to the phone.

No, it will not give metadata while bluetoothing. Only while it's plugged in USB do you get any info displayed.

Yuck, it's bad enough how ugly the stock headunit is. Why is it handicapped that bad?
