Default Won't stop shimmying!

Can't get rid of this darn shimmying in the steering wheel. Tires are new. Had them balanced countless times by dealer, tire shops, corner mechanic with no sussess. It only shimmys at 65 to 70 mph. Under 65mph...smooth as silk. over 70mph up to 100+mph...smooth as silk. But that darn 65 - 70 mph is haunting me! Any of you guys ever experience this???

flaw in one of your tires - this was the case with brand new tires on a new camaro I had for a few months.

^^^alignment could be a problem. Make sure to check ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. with my 02, I had the same issue. Inner tie rod end was the problem. I replaced my whole rack and pinion (it was leaking anyways) problem solved.

Have your wheels RoadForce balanced. RoadForce will detect both wheel and tire problems that a standard spin balance won't. Also, be sure the wheel stud rotor clips have been removed if you're running non-OE wheels.

Check the control arm bushings. Those will do some crazy stuff.

It's likely your tires, replace them or find a buddy with a Mustang and swap them for a test ride.
