Not sure if any of you guys are impressed as much as I am by the new Shelby, but jesus what a monster. ALMOST beat that GT-R ;p


Honestly, load up a tune, CAI, exhaust, and some race fuel (may not even need that) and I'm pretty confident the Cobra would've grabbed 3rd!

pretty disappointing that it significantly lost to the GTR while having over 120 hp and 170 torque advantage

im betting it spun off the line or just couldnt launch at a good rpm, with DR's i think it can be in the 10's

there have been 5.0 gt's in the 11's with just an intake tune and tires, the shelby has about 250 more hp

Well the AWD helped the GT-R for sure, DR's for the GT500 would've helped tremendously. Agreed!

The Mustang doesn't need more power, it needs to go on a diet... I wish Ford would keep the Mustang a muscle car and put out a new version of the Ford GT...

Cool video, but what the hell made them decide to pin up the Subaro BRZ with those monsters with about three times its power lol.

The whole series this week was about "Best Drivers Car" so since it has amazing handling, it made the cut. I loved the ending of the race haha

It was all about "best driver's car", and straight line acceleration was the small part of the whole comparison.

There's a whole lot more video about these cars' road course behavior at Laguna Seca and the comparo in general. Some of it you'll agree with, some of it I guarantee you won't, and you might notice something that doesn't exactly agree with the commentary.

It doesn't need race fuel, they've made 700rwhp on 93 octane. I'd love to see a pump gas shoot out! Mod the cars however you want, but you can't run race fuel. Nobody is running race fuel everyday, lets be real here. I think the shelby would beat all contenders if you set a $5k budget for mods

GTR wouldn't stand a chance against my shelby. I can't afford either, so it matters not.

HAHA touche xD Shelby doesn't need much to place in the top 3 in that particular race. Not much at all.
