The 1k ohm resistor(or using a 5v regulator) is only for those that just got the basic harness adapter; this is to do the job of dropping the 5v turn-on leads(from 12v) for the stock shaker amps. The other (more expensive) adapters listed above do this for you in addition to giving other CAN-BUS functions.

The fix(for either model):

Yeah I have the C2R-FRD1 and I too thought I would have no issues, but maybe it is all related to the bad harness. One of these days I'll put the new one on.

I'd wire in the diode fix first(to the replacement). The feedback issue is common, and will likely still occur with the new one.

I cannot remember how me and the crutchfield tech diagnosed it to be the wiring harness. He had me cut one of the wires and bypass something and it stopped doing the shut off/reset. Hence why they sent a new wiring harness. I'm running the Eclipse AVN726E. This diode fix in your link appears to be related to the shut off/reset issue and not the popping issue unless they are caused by the same thing?

The original post broken down...

I've only been referring to your feedback, aka shutdown issue. The popping issue is cut&dry.

Car looks good. I would consider lowering the car .75 if you are interested in something like that. It should "tighten" up the look.

Does the sub in the trunk make alot of difference? Any rattles associated with it?

Looks great! I love the black rims with polished lip on the black car. I'll get pics with my new black rims if it ever stops raining (damn hurricane).

Looks really good dude. You ever consider a small drop? It would tighten everything up even more. BMR lowering springs IMO.
