Help needed: is this steering wheel connector compatible with 2012 Mustang?

Boss wheel transplant
OK, I think I've figured it out. Somebody, please correct me if I'm wrong. I want to install a 2012 Boss 302 steering wheel in my '06 Mustang GT. Here's how I think it goes:
Remove connector from Boss wheel harness . Strip some insulation from the gray, brown, red & black wires. Remove connector from my old wheel , leaving a pigtail of wires. On this, strip some insulation from white, blue red & green wires. Connect white to gray, blue to brown, red to red & green to black. solder & insulate. I am only trying to get the cruise to work. AM I CORRECT??
