Threads merged. You really don't need to start multiple threads on the same topic.

Look up the seat-belts section from the index, then the "belt-minder" feature. Info is there to enable/disable.

As to disabling chimes altogether... The older models have the chime built-into the cluster, I assume this likely has not changed.

Disconnect battery. Chime will be gone.

I think I get the "key in ignition" chime when I'm parked on a hill, but there's not mention of it in the manual. Has anyone else experienced this?

The belt minder with the key in the ignition goes away if you just let it sit for a few seconds (without the engine running). As soon as you start the car though you will need to either put on your seatbelt or do the belt minder dance from the manual.

The belt minder off feature in the manual requires you to do those steps EVERY time you start the car. It's temporary, not permanent and no, you cannot shut it off with a tuner.

It is quite permanent for the 5-10's, can't imagine they'd have changed this... But it's only done for the seat your doing it from. You'd have to do the same procedure for the passenger should you wish to disable it there. This will survive battery disconnects as well. Mine has been off for years for the driver's, I left the passenger's alone however for the obvious reasons. The dash will still flash for a short while, but the reminder chime (for the seat-belt) is disabled so long as you are the only sensed person in the vehicle at the time.
