2007-09 shelby gt500 vs 2013 5.0?

GT500 for sure...
I can't imagine how much more fun the GT500 (blown 5.4L) is to the stock 5.0.... you'd have to invest a few grand in bolt ons to make the 5.0 as quick... and still might fall short.
The sound and feel of a blower is non comparison.

The GT500s all rock...but I'm going to throw in my .02 in the opposite direction.
A better compairson to the GT500 would be the Challenger SRT8. Both have a similar weight and ponderous handling of a cargo ship...both have gobs of power to make up for it...only the Challenger also has the size to justify the fact the occasional Honda Fit might fall into orbit around it's gavitational center of mass.
The GT 5.0 is a quarter ton lighter and feels much lighter through the curves and is a ton of fun to drive because of this. It will be easier on tires, brakes, clutches, etc...get better fuel economy, etc...regardless of all that, it will be faster on any road course you can think of...and just about as quick on the strip, all without having to waste gasoline spinning a compressor...
...if you DID decide to put a compressor on it, you can get a warranty from Ford for their kit...and for about $7000, you can put out 625hp.
No doubt, the ultimate power making potential of the GT500 is greater but the 5.0 is no slouch.
As for the body...the GT500s are aging well...for the most part. The truckish front end, the smallish wheels, the oh-so-mid 2000s wheel arch blisters, the lack of muscular rear fenders (like all current muscle cars have)...they are already starting to look a bit old but that's purely personal taste.
My pick: 2013 Track Pack...but honestly, you can't go wrong. The GT500 is a mean looking, fast as hell, hero car.

gt500<5.0

Not sure if serious or just trolling.... If serious, let me guess. You failed math when you were younger didn't you?

So if your statement that the "gt500 is greater than and more badass stock which supports..." then you should say gt500>5.0 Think of it like this... it's like the GT500 has a bigger dong, so it's pointing it's huge meaty shaft at the lesser 5.0....yeah, I know it's gross. But the alligator analogy doesn't work.

Also, it's not "there for", it is "therefore."

I drove the 13 gt home for a couple days and then bought an 07 gt500..
To me the 13 gt doesn't feel like it has 420 hp, and the gt500 is way more fun, and I also don't care for the new rear look, although I do like the front of the 13 gt
