Default Do these tire dimentions sound ok?

im going with 255/45 18 on the front and 295/30 19 on the back

wheels are 18x8 and 19x10

Im worried about how the front is going to look compared to the back.
Im thinking ok?

The front diameter is about 1 inch larger, is that really going to be noticeable?

front diameter 27.03 in
back diameter 25.96 in

or just get 255/40 18 for the front?

YES, don't do it! The rear wheel well is larger than the front, so don't put a smaller diameter tire back there!

I have a similar setup with 18s in the front and 19s out back...

18x9s front with 255/45/18s (27.0" diameter)

19x10s rear with 275/40/19s (27.7" diameter)

I would go as big as 285/40/19 out back if I could find matching front/rear tires in both sizes.

AH MAN!! I was really looking forward to 295s.. oh well im getting Continentals, so they do have 285s

Or should I just go 255/40 18 in the front instead and keep 295s?

If the rear wheels will be 10 inches wide, a 295 tire should fit on there. However, that sidewall profile size is small, as illustrated before. Do they make a 295/35/19 size?

BFG does and its twice more than Continental so I am not going that route, maybe i should get 255/40 18 for the front to match the diameter of 295s?

My head is about to explode, I need to order the tires and rims Monday and I still don't know which size tires to get...

Aside from overall tire height... do you care about sidewall height? Those 295s you mentioned have a sidewall of like 3.5" where as the 255's you mentioned are 4"+... So it's gonna look stupid all way around (shorter tire + smaller sidewall)

A 275 is plenty wide, you're being silly. I would not put anything shorter than 27 inches in the back.

Just think of all the money you'll save by getting the correct tire size. You'll also be 1/2 inch closer to the ground and 1/2 inch more fender to tire gap with a 26 inch tall tire. I have 1.5 inch drop springs and I would not want to be 1/2 inch closer to the ground.

This...if you insist on 18 and 19" rims.
The 255's on 18's up front are perfect. No need to mess with that BUT,
If you stick with 18's on the rear, you have more options and more profile (which is always a good thing).

285/40/18...stock gt500 setup and a solid choice.
275/45/18...about the same diameter as JD's 275/40/19 @27.7"
295/45/18...the big boys as pictured below

Go to 40s or 45s in the rear, 275 or 285 and it will look great. Check the diameter for the best fit.

I'd stick with a 255/45/18 up front and either a 285/35/19 or 295/35/19 out back.
