Update....

Thanks for the well wishes, but yes.....now noticed that Stang isn't barebones.

I've got a potiential investment opportunity fall into my lap last night and it will require putting off buying my car for a month or two, possibly!

I figure if I can make an extra $3-5 k in a month and hardly doing a thing to make it, the car can wait.

So, what I'm going to do now is get internet offers on ordering a barebones GT from 6 or 7 local FORD dealers....put them all into a bidding war and the winner gets my order. The 8-10 weeks it takes to ship gives me more than enough time to use my down payment for this potiental investment deal.

Already have 3 dealers sent me offers and so far the best is $30.3k OTD.

This whole experience is turning out well, so far!

Thanks gents!!

Good luck but I've gotta agree. It's not close to 'bare bones' and there's no way they'll go that low. As already said, time to decide if you can afford more if it's the one you want or find the 'bare bones' model that you were looking for. It'll put you in a much better spot for keeping the cost down

Sent my message at the same time you posted....the new plan sounds good :-)
