Default Downloaded a new tune, battery dead...

I'm currently running a 93 oct tune from Brenspeed with my Vortech V3. I received a new 91 oct tune from them today because I'm heading out west for a trip.

I installed the new tune and everything worked great. Drove it for a few minutes and noticed that the lights were dim. Received an ABS and traction control warning light on the cluster, radio displayed a battery low message. Turned the car off and appears the battery is dead.

My question: is this issue related to the new tune in any way or by bad timing, I need a new battery?

I'm betting it's a coincidence. Charge it up and have an auto parts store run a diagnostic on your battery/alternator. Weak batteries in these cars are nothing new.

The battery problem is completely unrelated to the tune. It was a coincidence.

Battery problems are quite common with these mustangs. I recently had another dead battery myself.
You should consider getting yourself one of these, even if you "drive your car regularly" and don't think it should discharge. Mine is a semi-daily driver and it still loses charge eventually. Now, I routinely put a tender on my mustang overnight every few weeks or so, just to be safe.

I seriously doubt your battery issue is tune related.

Tis the season for dead batteries.
A couple of cold nights is all it takes.

cold nights...in Sept?? LOl, sorry, I live in AZ, we don't start getting "cold" nights until December through maybe February.

Here, the season for batteries is Summer time. They only make it two or three summers before they wasted.
