Default 50,000 miles, now what?

So my 2007 GT is about to hit 50,000 miles.

What kind of check-up / maintenance do you guys recommend?

Should I go by the dealership maintenance shop?

What maintenance have you done already, as far as fluids and filters go?

Sparkplugs would be a good consideration at this point...

I was thinking of just asking the Ford dealership what they recommend for 50k Mustangs, but I do not want to get robbed...

IF the fluids havent been changed in a while (diff, coolant, tranny) i would do that as well as the cabin air filter and airbox filter if you dont have a CAI, and definatly spark plugs. But im a little picky with my vehicles so i might be over doing it a bit. Also check your recommended maintenance schedule and see what it says.

Hrm, how necessary is changing the spark plugs at 50k? I'm at 69k now sooo I'd say it's time?

With the old style heads, I'd say yes

OP, I'd drain and flush the coolant system, change out the fuel filter, air filter, cabin air filter, and consider doing your rear end fluid and possibly the trans fluid. Other than that and spark plugs, I'd say you're good to go!

Doing the fuel filter and trans fluid every 30,000. Just did the rear end and it made a big difference in the noise, went with redline. The trans fluid also makes a difference in the noise I was hearing from the car.

Most important up keep is to add a Super Charger!!

Don't go to the dealer, do all that stuff yourself.
