Idle Air Control Valve- Help locating
Hey guys, I need to clean my IAC and im having some trouble locating it. I looked around in my bay and couldn't find anything without being reasonably sure that it was it. I don't want to pull it apart if its not the right part. I finally have sunday off and need to be productive with my car! If any of you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

These cars do not have an IAC valve. The idle is controlled electronically by the ECU and the throttle position sensor. The TPS cannot be cleaned.
If you're having idle problems, suggest cleaning the MAF(mass air flow) sensor and the TB(throttle body). Auto supply stores sell products for this. If the problem persists, then replace the fuel filter. Dumping a can of Seafoam into the gas tank may also help by cleaning the fuel injectors.

MAF cleaner. Do not touch anything other than the outer housing. Use the spray to clean in the openings (where what looks like a wire) ONLY. The major chains all have specific MAF cleaner, usually by CRC.

Throttle body is a bit different, use throttle-body cleaner off course, but you can wipe down to clean the outter sections and the blades themselves, just with nothing abrasive, use shop towels or clean rags with the TB cleaner (TB blades have a coating which you do not want to damage).
As you have a sixxer, you will want to change your PCV valve at like 70k mi or so.

Not sure that you are correct about that. my 2012 has an IAC mounted on top of the Intake manifold just behind the throttle body.
