Battery keeps dying!

I purchased my mustang new June 2008, had problems and replaced the battery in December 2009. Now AAA is replacing it today under warranty. I had to have a jump last night, unplugged and turned off everything in car, dead 9 hours later!
Hope this works! Anything else I should check? I moved in May so I don't have a regular place to have it checked. Plus I'm a girl w/ a Stang that doesn't want to get ripped off.

Battery life seems to depend on the particular battery (not necessarily the brand) and how you drive. If you don't drive at highway speeds frequently, then the battery tends to have a short life. My original Motorcraft battery was replaced under warranty at about 2 1/2 years. The replacement Motorcraft battery got weak after about 2 years. The replacement Interstate battery got weak after about 2 years, but the Interstate dealer said it tested okay, so they wouldn't replace it. If you can hook up a battery tender, that will probably increase the battery life.

I put an Odyssey in mine too, but went with a larger size similar to stock. Its about an inch taller but weighs 45 lbs compared to 32 pounds for the stock battery. It also has over 200 CCA increase, 500 stock compared to 730 for the Odyssey 75/86-PC1230. Works well with my amp & subwoofer. Purchased online at Battery Mart & it was shipped free, but wasn't cheap ($263). I shouldn't have to worry about the battery for quite a while. lol

Absolutely correct. If I shut the car with the Shaker 500 left on, battery is dead in a week. If I remember to turn the shaker off before shutting the car, I get 2-3 weeks. I've solved the problem by getting a battery tender for use when I expect to leave it parked for 2-3 weeks.
There seem to be several problems discussed here; but everyone seems to talk about their battery "dying." Does that mean drained to the point where it will not start the car, or drained and will not keep a charge and tests "bad" with a tester? There are several reasons why a battery might be too drained to start the car......bad alternator, short runs, car left sitting, or "bad" battery. I am not sure that all of the problems discussed in this thread stem from the same issue.
But Shadowtech is 100% correct; the radio drains the battery when the car is parked, so if you park it for a while the battery will die. Ford dealers will tell you that all of today's cars have this problem. This is total BS. I currently have 4 newish cars, and have mad many cars over the yearsm and only my 2006 mustang GT has this issue.
Battery tender solved it for me. I am on battery #2 since 2006.

My stock battery also lasted about a year. Since then I have always turned off everything before shutting the engine off, and also connect to a bettery tender every time. The Diehard that I replaced my stock battery with is still going strong since 2007.

I have the same issue, found it was my radio's amps staying on if I didn't turn off the radio before I turned off the ignition.
Simple fix, turn off the radio first, then turn off the ignition, no more battery drain.

I'm convinced it's the Shaker 1000 CD player. If I turn the car off with the CD player on (in cold weather) it dies in a few days. I have 36K with the ORIGINAL BATTERY and I store it for 4 months. I always used a battery tender but this year after reading about how the CD player keeps cycling I switched it to FM and turned the car off. Well its been a month and it still fires right up. I let her go another and see what happens.
