Default Nexen N5000 Tires

Howdy gang,

2 newbster questions (2008 GT). Bought used and it came with these tires. No complaints from me and reviews on line seem good but I am more interested in what you guys say. So, what say you about these tires?

Second (probably been covered a thousand times), TCS on or off for regular and spirited driving on dry roads, especially mountain twisties.

Thanks!

i leave TCS on most times no matter the conditions unless i know i am going to be wanting wheel spin. Its all personal preference though

as for the tires, the are probably middle the road. Not to expensive but not great performance. Unless the tread is about gone just keep them. next time around get what you want

This is not meant to be offensive in any way, but generally if you're new enough to ask about driving with TCS on or off, it's best to leave it on. I say that because most experienced drivers, who can handle wheel spin at speed, know what TCS is and when they want it on, limited, or off. The exception may be someone who has only driven older cars that have no TCS.

I consider myself a good driver, and the TCS that I had on my CTS-V saved me more than once. I may have been able to correct, but before I could even start to, it straightened it out for me.
