Supercharging my 2006 4.0 help!

I agree, 12k+ v6 = gt. To put this in perspective, if you get 10k for your v6 in a private sale you would have 22k and only have to finance about 3k on a leftover brand new 2012 5.0.
With that as an option no one with any common sense is gonna say to mod your car

Go get a CAI with tune. Not much more you can do to add more horsepower for a v6.. Go with 4.10 gears with a 8.8 hear axle and buy limited slip differential! If you do all that with the supercharger you will be beating GT"s. Stock GT's that is..

Adding the supercharger won't require any rebuild of the engine. I ran nitrous on my 4.0 for 2 seasons and at 90,000 miles pulled the nitrous and went to the Xcharger supercharger.
Many track passes later and 203,000 miles I sold it when I ordered the 2013. A couple weeks before selling it I had it at the track with 201,000 miles on the odometer and was running mid 12's still. The 4.0 will take a lot and people who have blown it have tried dual power adders (nitrous plus a turbo or supercharger), or they were running a lean tune which is dangerous in any application.
You will want to upgrade the rear end to the 8.8. Don't try to build up the 7.5 to the power; worst modding decision I ever made was that. It cost me more to build the 7.5 than it cost to swap to the 8.8 after I broke the 7.5 with a tune and drag radials.
As far as the "get a GT" suggestions. It's your car and do what you want. The reason I went with the 3.7 on the new car was because of the comments at the track my last visit with the 2006. A couple of guys were there with new 5.0's and after making a pass one came up and said "I thought you'd be quicker than 12.7 since I can hear the blower". When the hood finished opening he spotted the 4.0 badge, counted off the spark plug wires and said "crap, this is a 6?! Now I'm impressed." Then turned to the other 5.0 driver and said "we're getting our a$$ handed to us by a 6!" Decided to go with the 6 again for something unique rather than just another modded V8 (and I know the 5.0 starts off with more and can get more than the 3.7 - but that just means I'd spend almost $5,000 more to start, and still end up adding FI at some point)

I"m not the most saavy guy when it comes to this stuff, could you tell me what a CAI is? Also JIMC what kind of suspension and tires do you recommend? Are fat tires on the back too much? What's the best exhaust as well? I'm sorry I have so many questions!

Sorry, if you truly just like the car more then you do. But even if it's a body style thing, I would still sell the car, buy a 06 Gt for about 14, then dump the 8k in mods for that. 8k in a 06 gt and you'll be in the 550+ hp range. Same money you can be in the same style and about 200hp better.
Just to put this in perspective, look in my sig at my 08 GT I sold. I let that go for 22k and was making 630hp with it.
