Default How do I get an original canned SCT tune for my X2?

I had a JLT 2 intake and Brenspeed tune loaded on an X2. Ran awesome, but the intake fit like garbage. It burned through 2 filters and my hood insulation, because no one could get to fit right.

Now I'm running around almost stock, save for exhaust, and I miss that extra power.

I don't want to get another intake just yet, but was wondering how to get an original SCT canned tune for a stock intake setup.

Could you help a poor, stock soul?

If you returned your vehicle ECU to stock, there is a menu listed under "stategy tune" if I recall correctly. Scrol down through there and you should see your vehicle listed I believe. Why are you giving up on custom tuning? Although I do not run Brenspeed tunes personally, they are up there with the most used on this forum. I also cannot speak much of the JLT CAI. I had one on an '09. I run a Steeda ProFlo CAI with their tunes and am one happy camper. Sounds like it is more of a problem with the CAI. If you are saying that you literally burned ( fire ) through 2 filters something else is going on. I know that Nuke runs Brenspeed tunes and has for years. You may want to PM him and pick his mind. Canned tunes are not that good and in some cases do more harm than good. Hope this helps. Sorry you have had a bad go of it.

I have the SCT X3 with Brenspeed custom tunes. I have the option to choose (3) custom tunes (87, 89, 93) or change back to stock.
With a canned tune, do you have the option to change back to stock?

Here's a refresher on loading Brenspeed custom tunes.

You don't see the stock tune or any tune on your hand held SCT tuner?
If this is the case, you may need to order a custom tune from AM/Bama tunes or Brenspeed with the stock airbox listed, oppose to the JLT CAI.

Do I understand correctly that you want a tune to go with your stock airbox? If so, a canned tune (assuming there IS a canned SCT tune for the stock airbox) will be about 5-8 RWHP shy of a custom tune from Brenspeed or AM made for the stock airbox.
