Thanks for that, this does confirm any question about it being a real shelby GT and it certainly is, as these were the only cars that came from the factory with the "GT upfitters package," as shown on the sticker. These cars were then were sent directly to shelby las vegas and converted to shelby GT's. The link you posted is for the ford factory sticker before it was converted, so shelby added their own sticker after it was converted, but won't show up on ford's database..
Also, just found out the car sold within hours according to a shelby forum, as the dealership didn't realize what exactly it was, and was one of 148 Automatic Coupes (130 Vista Blue Auomatic Coupes). Someone in fact did get a amazing deal!!

I like the Shelby gt's. if one was in my price range 4 years ago I would own one. It's got mods you would probably already do on your own now. Lowered, CAI, got the nicer CS bumpers.i had to add that stuff to my GT, and i still dont have the CS bumpers.you'd already be ahead of the game, A great starting point if you plan to take it further with mods. Make them an offer if its what you want. Not everyone has to have the latest and greatest.

Anyone notice how the SHELBY lettering on the trunk is all to one side
and not evenly spaced out across the whole trunk lid?
I have never ever seen a Shelby like that...
Those were not put on at Shelby Automotive in Las Vegas Nevada.
Of course you cant see faux gas cap on the trunk lid closely.
It is probably a OEM GT cap.
The dealer must be looking at blue book for a plain ol 08 GT
and priced it accordingly.
