Default Subwoofer addition to 2012 shaker 500

I would like to add a trunk mounted powered subwoofer to my 2012 convertible with the shaker 500 stereo. I read that I should use the front door subwoofer leads, but not sure which wires to use. Also if I get a sub with an auto turn on imput, where do I get the power for that? I might just get one that takes speaker level imputs that turn the amp on and off with the radio, but still don't know which wires to use. The main power I'll use directly from the battery. I was thinking of Infitity Basslink. Thanks for anyone's help.

Power the sub from the battery, and the antenna is powered so you can splice into that to get the turn on lead. It is a blue wire coming out of the bottom of the antenna.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip, that's perfect! Haven't decided on which powered sub yet, but can you also tell me exactly what speaker wires (wire colors) to splice into for the speaker level imputs? I've read not to use the rear speakers because they are frequency limited to remove bass. I have the convertible, so I only have speakers in side panels on each side of rear seats, and they look small.

I don't know which wires to splice into without searching for a diagram online. There are a few websites that have decent diagrams out there, You can probably do a quick google search and find what you need.
I agree that the rear speakers won't be the best, and you will have to run wires either way, so I would just find the front main speaker wires coming off of the radio itself and wire those up to the powered sub.
