Couple questions about the 13 GT
I used to have an 06 GT, but sold it. Recently sold a 2012 Corvette that I modded, but had to sell it too but for personal reasons. Now that I'm settled back down I'm thinking about a 2013 GT. I understand the 2013 GT engine has some Boss 302 enhancements to up the hp from the similar 2012 GT engine. I'm wondering what those enhancements might be and if I'd really notice the difference from a low mileage 2012 GT??? Seems you could add some bolt on engine mods to create the same hp level as the 2013 engine. Can you use 2012 aftermarket lowering suspension springs for the 2013, or is the 2013 suspension different?
Thanks in advance.

there are bits and pieces I like more about both the 12 and the 13. can't go wrong with either, but don't let the hp be the deciding factor!
there are more unique, expensive things that differentiate the two. it's mainly aesthetics.

8 hp bump between the years.....hmm...doubt it is noticeable unless running 1/4 mile. Other changes to 13 is hid lights and led rear lights. Hids definitely light up the road better at night. LED lighting lasts much longer than bulbs and personally I like how they did the design.
If your only concern is power, get the 12 at a discount and add mods. Your HP/Torque will be higher than a stock 13...although, same mods can be done with the 13 which may net more in the end.
Your priorities/funds should determine what works best for you. Just don't buy a new 12 as that will result in a bigger value hit soon as you drive off the lot. I would check local classifieds and try going private if you want to work your own financing.

For me the 8hp played no role. I like the design much better on the 13. I wanted an automatic and brembo's and recaro seats. For automatic cars 13 is the only year you can get brembos and also only year for recaro seats in GT's. The final seal on the deal was the Gotta have it Green.
If all you care for is a V8 with a 6sp then by all means look at 2011-12 cars. All mods should fit 11-13 nothing much really changed other than appearance.
You can save yourself around $8k-$10k between a lightly used 11-12 over a 13. That's mod money that can increase your power by a lot more then 8hp.
Best of luck and post pics of what you get.
Also got any pics of that modded 2012 Vette?

Zodiac, is the 2011 through 2013 Mustang GT the same car and engine, just upgrades like those you speak of in the automatic 2013?
