You should have bought a used gt 500! If you get rid of this one go get a Shelby instead of buying another overpriced gt!

but at the end of the day, you do have a loaner car so you can get around, and they are working on replacing the busted bits in your transmission.. what else can you ask from them? if you are terrrrrribly concerned about them replacing trans internals with new ones, you could push for a new trans entirely and they might comply, but you would to have needed to negotiate this before they ordered parts to do the work.

why not let them try to repair it, see if it falls within the 30 day timeline, and see if the repairs are acceptable?

I feel like you're being overly dramatic. personal opinion
I agree with this almost completly. Overly dramatic..maybe. I wouldn't have contacted an attorney so soon (or at all). When people do that they send a signal they are gearing up for a fight. THis usually does two things. Makes the other side lawyer up (in which case it's now lawyer to lawyer speak which is costly and time consuming) and also does not make the other side want to help you out any more than they legally have to.

Anyways,
If you push for a new tranny, you should look into how that affects your bumper to bumper warranty. Will the new tranny be covered under the remainder of the cars warranty or will the part bring in it's own warranty that supercedes the vehicle warranty?

That second scenario is usually not desired because the part warranty may only be 12mo/12,000 miles. So it if superscedes the car warranty you actually screwed yourself.
