2013 GT Premium Question

2013 GT Premium Question
So to make a long story short, I picked up my 2013 GT Premium last weekend. However I noticed something very odd so I wanted to know if its because its a GT Premium or do I have something that could raise some questions as to why?
It's got Boss 302 keys street and track key, do all the GT Premiums have Boss 302 keys? If they do why it makes no sense. The dealership found this odd also because they are saying it has the Hi-Po 302 engine but yet it has no Boss 302 markings except for its keys. They did some research on it and they are saying there is only 3 more 2013s equipped like this. So what in the world is this thing a GT Premium or is it some strange mess up GT that got decked out as a Boss 302?

Maybe you got more than you paid for -- kind of like the guy who got a "free upgrade" when Chrysler accidentally put a 440 in a Road Runner that was supposed to have the 383.
Too bad there is not a way to tell by looking at the exterior of the engine, eh?

Nope no way to tell at all, I don't even know where to look for engine numbers on these new engines. When I pick up the plates I am going to see if they can take a good look at her and give me 100% proof this is a 302 Hi-Po engine. I am also going to see if I can get my hands on the build sheets.
But if your still contemplating getting a 2013 Mustang they are quite the car. Will beat my 72 Mach 1 in a drag race any day of the week.

did you try those keys out yet?
Anyway if you had a boss engine in the engine bay , it would be very obvious.. the intake manifold is completely different and says boss 302 on it, along with the engine covers being blue instead of silver like a normal gt 5.0
did you get the track pack?

Thanks, Doc! I guess it is just a matter of whether or not I want to be "in debt" again. Both of my vehicles are paid off free and clear......but the new Mustang is calling out to me and my credit union can help get me a decent price on one. Oh, what is a fella to do?

Yes it has the track package and in intake is silver. But that does answer the question of it not being a Hi-po. Still confused on the Boss 302 keys though unless that's just what happens with the track package. There is a difference in the sound of the engine when you turn it on with the Boss 302 track key.
