I dont like to unscrew the plugs since if somethings falls in when the plug is removed, you can ruin the engine basically. Is there any way to check without unscrewing them? Btw is your car vinyl wrapped? Looks good in the pic.

Manual or auto, mods? Are you sure it wasn't your traction light flashing?

Manual, yes im positive it was the engine light, and i was just cruising at about 60 mph in 5th. Mods are suspension mods, stock tune stock intake, basically nothing except roush axlebacks.

flashing light should be a misfire... did you check where your injectors are for any build-up of water?

My car is actually dipped. It peels off like a wrap when it dries. Unfortunately I had body damage recently and I'll need to redo it :-\

Thanks for following up, Andy13186. Keep an eye on your Mustang and see if it happens again. If the circumstances are the same, you can always try to replicate the experience while a tech is in the car with you. If you have any other questions or concerns, send me a PM.

Blinking light is a misfire. If it doesn't happen again no big deal but if it does I'd take it in. I know this because sadly it just happened to my '13.

I actually had just shifted from 6th to 3rd at 60 mph or so, gave it a bit of throttle then maintained RPM, then engine braked slightly then upshifted to 5th and may have been engine braking slightly, i think i was maintaining RPMS or very light engine braking in 5th when the light came on a few times. It was odd

It may have been just thinking you were misfiring due to rapid decel and engine break going into the corner. Causes a lot of unburnt fuel to go through the exhaust, the engine can interpret the high fuel level as misfiring.
