Default wheel stud comparison and PB timeslip

Some of you on here I know drive your car as a DD and race it on weekends. So many of us swap out are Wheels for the strip. In doing so some of you may encounter a minor problem as I usually do and thats stripping the wheel studs. I have changed out four in two years. Well I have been looking for a quick fix. So I paid american musle a visit and found these for 69 dollars for five which is a good price compared to other websites.

As u can see from the pic that these are much longer than the stock wheel studs. It looks as if it will be much easier to get the nuts started correctly when I mount my drag wheels.

Plus I had posted awhile ago about getting a new PB at the track but i hadnt posted my timeslip yet so here it is.

Got any pics of those studs with the wheels on the car? I bought them too not realizing they were longer. I replaced them with ford stockers. My problem was I over torquing them. Now I bring a torque wrench with me to the track. LOL

11.48 with a 1.56 60ft......dude that is moving and roll bar territory.

When you install the wheels studs most people just stack some washers in there and use a ratchet to pull the stud into place. Dont got nuts like me and strip the new stud. LOL It doesnt take much resistance to pull them through.

There is a kid at my track with a supra that runs mid to low 11's. I see him not wearing the fireproof jacket and no rollbar. I believe he got booted this weekend after they talked to him and he went against their instructions. Stooopid!! Be careful and dont get the boot yourself. Since your planning a B302 etc...in the future a rollbar would be the safe route for you. I watched two 9 and 10 second cars nearly hit the guardrail this weekend. Scary sh*t. safety has to come first.
